Principal's Welcome

A big warm welcome to the North Harrisdale Primary community. I am thrilled to be appointed Foundation Principal of the newest school in Harrisdale. I am both honoured and excited to partner with you in building a connected school that is at the heart of the community. It takes a village to raise a child and I am looking forward to taking this journey of new beginnings and a new adventure with you all.

I am committed to academic excellence, high expectations, and leading a professional learning community. I have worked in schools in Kununurra, Adelaide, and Perth, and for the past seven years, I was principal at Rockingham Beach PS.

I am a passionate educator and pursue every opportunity to continually learn and improve as a leader. I received a Public Education Foundation scholarship in July, 2017 to attend Harvard University’s Leadership Institute. In December 2019, I became the first Certified Practising Principal in WA, and the ninth in Australia.

I believe every child can flourish and learn at high levels. Learning should embrace joy, curiosity, creativity, innovation, and nurture a sense of fun. What is best for students is front and centre of every decision and action I take. I aim to lead North Harrisdale Primary with optimism, focus, and enthusiasm.

Whilst the school is being built, I am based at Harrisdale Senior High School. Thank you to Leila Bothams and her team for welcoming me to their school.
