Music & Performing Arts

We have a full-time Music & Performing Arts program. Every class from Pre-Primary to Year 6 has at least one music lesson each week. Our students learn to play various musical instruments including xylophones, recorders, ukuleles, and boomwhackers. They learn to sing in tune and in harmony.

We have a very active, large choir with students from Year 3 to Year 6. They rehearse every Thursday after recess and have the opportunity to perform at school assemblies, special school services including ANZAC Service and Remembrance Service, and community events. The choir performs in August each year in the "Schools Make Music" Festival at the Crown Theatre.

Our Year 4 to Year 6 students have the opportunity to be selected in the Instrumental Music School Services program. Selection into this program is based on musical aptitude testing and other criteria. If your child is selected, this outstanding program will take your child’s love of music to the next level. They will receive free instrumental tuition and the opportunity to participate in a range of music enrichment activities. We currently have students learning: classical guitar, violin, cello, trumpet, & trombone.
