We embrace the evidence-based research of Professor John Hattie describing what actually works in schools to improve student learning. Expert teachers regularly focus on evaluating the impact of their teaching on student learning, and adjust their teaching strategies accordingly.

Teachers share learning intentions and success criteria with students, provide timely and constructive feedback, and use effective strategies in literacy and numeracy to match students' developmental learning needs.

We aim for all students to make at least one year’s progress for a year’s worth of teaching.
