Extra-Curricular Learning

We value opportunities to enrich the learning experiences for our students. Staff with an interest or talent in a particular area will be invited to provide before or after school clubs or activities for students to participate in. These may include basketball, netball, cricket, STEM-related activities such as Coding, or Minecraft, Philosophy, Numero, cooking, gardening, etc.

Our school partners with the University of WA in Children’s University. The program helps to inspire a passion for learning from an early age for children and celebrates this learning journey outside of the classroom.  It provides a framework to nurture aspirations, encourage children to discover new passions, visit new places, develop new skills and, above all, have fun! Children’s University embraces local learning opportunities offered by places such as public libraries, zoos, parks, museums, art galleries, theatres, sporting clubs, school clubs as well as businesses.

We are committed to providing opportunities for our students to be involved in external competitions and activities to enrich their learning. These may include: Game Changer Awards, First Lego League, Future Problem Solving, Numero Competitions, Creative Edge, Maths Talent Quest, Science IQ, Have Sum Fun Maths, Shaun Tan Awards, etc.
